Edible insects? Sounds disgusting? Well, that is the future of food, and this is exactly why Copenhagen Bug Festival was created. This was a collaboration between the Technological Institute, NOMA, and Københavns Kommune – a festival where people could come and try different insects. The brief? To create a serious but fun visual identity in real life and on Facebook.
I used a grasshopper as inspiration for the visual style. Grasshoppers have some of the most wonderful colours if you look really close, and they are one of the most delicious insects to eat. As the project mostly used Facebook to communicate the event, I designed the social media identity and content with which we could promote the event.
